Session 4 of the Regional Energy Dialogue: Fuel Cells and Hydrogen
November 19, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm AST
As global technology advances, Hydrogen and Fuel Cells are moving up on the sustainable energy agenda within CARICOM.
Join us on Thursday 19 November 2020 for Session 4 of the Regional Energy Dialogue, as Mr. Philip Julien, Managing Director of NewGen Energy Limited, shares information on plans for the innovative project that is expected to place Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean at the centre of the global hydrogen revolution.
Within the session, U.S. Inventor, Mr. Mike Strizki, will give a demonstration of The Hydrogen House – North America’s first regulation-approved solar-hydrogen powered residence. Mike will also share lessons and experiences from solar-based hydrogen systems that he implemented within the Cayman Islands, with views on how CARICOM could embrace and benefit from a hydrogen future.
Mr. Thibault Ménage of HDF Energy is responsible for business development within the Caribbean and will share information on the development of innovative large-scale energy projects as well as emerging opportunities within the Caribbean. In particular, the construction of a facility that uses excess heat from power generation plants, and other green energy sources, to produce hydrogen for industrial purposes is being pursued within Trinidad and Tobago.
The Dialogue will be hosted by Dr. Ruth Potopsingh, Associate Vice-President with responsibility for the Caribbean Sustainability and Innovation Institute at the University of Technology in Jamaica.
