MPC Capital has acquired the 21MW Tilawind wind farm in Costa Rica for USD 50 million.
Tilawind, located in the windy northern province of Guanacaste in Costa Rica, is an effective source of clean energy. Last year, it exceeded its expected outputs both in terms of energy production and revenues.
Investors in the acquisition include MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Fund, MPC Capital’s investment platform for renewable energies in the CARICOM region, and ANSA McAL Ltd, Trinidad and Tobago’s largest conglomerate.
This renewable energy installation is the second one acquired by MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Fund. It recently invested in the 51MW solar PV installation Paradise Park in Jamaica.
